If you're talking about Walt Disney World being so successful I would say that somehow you get a feel good, wholesome family experience that leaves you wanting to come back despite the crowds, expense and (at times in Florida) the heat. Beyond this the merchandising of the experience is phenomenal. One cannot leave without a pin collection, tshirts from all one's favorite rides, a Mickey watch etc.
