I agree with the rush it gives you....makes you feel vulnerable to the world, yet sexy (?) in a way.

Oh don't you love the energy from strong thunder and lightening? I really get off to it, it really goes deep down! (",) x

Nothing beats an African storms. It can be sunny day and all of a sudden the world around you begins to change. You can smell the rain coming. The birds and animals sense it, and before you know it the sky has turned pitch black. Then there is an amazing sense of anticipation for a great release of rain, accompanied by lightning and thunder that give you goosebumps. After the rain has died down there is a massive rainbow and the whole world seems as though its been given a new life. Totally awesome!

I am so jealous! We are sweltering in 46c heat and even the thought of a thunderstorm makes me feel good.
You have all just brought back memories of childhood sitting in a bay window watching storms in safety, and an amazing one I walked through here in Bahrain about 15 years ago.I swear by the end of it I was wetter outside than in. It went on for hours and the roads were flooded knee deep; but it was the most intense, magical experience.

I love to watch the lightning flash across the sky...today around 3pm we had a very bad storm and I hear Peterborough had a mini tornado too.....we are due more storms during the night....I love to lie in bed with the curtains open watching for the next flash of lightning and counting to seconds before it thunders to see how far away it is.

I think that your storm is on the verge of reaching here (Peterborough). I like storms very much but you can get too close as I was 50 yards away from a lightning strike last Summer and was blinded by the lightning for about ten seconds!!

I like storms. I Like it when it is a thunder/lightning storm in the late night and then in the morning it is raining. I love that. haha

I love them. We had a bit of one last night and we sat just inside the open back door watching it. Doing rude things in the rain is also wicked!!

It has to be chucking it down with lightning. Can't beat getting soaked to the skin, with a small risk of getting fried by the weather.
Sunshine is so tame.

Yes!! Me too.

Dark, menacing skies, monsoon-like rain showers, fork lightning, cracking loud thunder........

Imagination justs runs away with me as per the old black and white movies...

However, the rain has been and gone down here (Somerset) and the sun is shining. But it has gone sooooo humid.
