The statute of limitations has probably long expired. But you could bake granny a nice batch of ex-lax cookies.

did you ever ask daddy why he got his as* whipped, maybe he deserved it although maybe not to that degree. Either way this was long ago and it dosnt really need to be brought back up. My dad whipped my as* plenty of times and pretty hard too but i deserved it everytime and I am grateful for his concern with me doing right and trying to make sure I did so. Youll understand when you have your own kids. Just dont make them need stiches, but hey sometimes accidents happen

It's commendable that you care so much about your father for his mistreatment that you'd want justice. However that needs to come from him, it's his cross to bear (so to speak) and he's the one who suffered the abuse, any charges that would or could be brought up (which if it's outside the statute of limitations, he's sol) would have to be brought up by him.
While baking her ex-lax cookies and brownies are a way to get even (not to mention funny to think about doing) you yourself could get into trouble should she suffer any ill harm in doing that. Might I recommend some family therapy so that you can put the past where it belongs, in the past.
The best thing for you to do is avoid this woman at all costs till you yourself have tempered your emotions and gotten them under control.

Well i think that you should talk very carefully and most polite with your grandmother tell her that it is not polite to do that.
so: if she continues to well whip your father you could threaten her to hand her over to the police charge over house violence (beating,ro WHIPPING inside the family) or you could slowly tell her to go out of the house or you find another house for your family

And how long ago did this happen? Get a grip, disipline was different in your dads day to now, grow up and learn about your past, and just be grateful that you werent born back then.

Just keep her out of your life. Living your last years lonely with plenty of time to think of how you treated people is awesome payback.

No. There is no way to get her "punished". It sucks but it is well past time for him to move on with his life. This is not your issue, you do not have contact with this monster, so you should move on with your life as well.
Karma is a ***** and she always finds her man!

That is unfortunate; however, societal norms have probably changed significantly since then. In the future, it is quite possible that subjecting you child to "timeout" will be just as reprehensible as a beating.

She's an old woman now, punishment would be pointless and you not loving her is probably enough anyway...
