Are you a US citizen? If so then go to a bank with a resume and tell them you are seeking employment. To work for a financial institution they will pull your credit. I hope you have good credit. They will also do a criminal background check. Hope you've never been convicted of a crime. Also, do you have any experience? If the answer is no then you will have to start at the bottom and work your way up to the position you desire.
If you are not a US citizen obtain your green card first. I am not sure how that is done. The follow the steps above.

Jobs like being a clerk, or teller, you just apply, and hope that you get hired. You have to have the right breaks.Banks usually want experienced people, but how does a person get experience, if no one gives him a chance at the entry level? It is a catch-22 type of situation.
