Not a lot of places are hiring in southeast Michigan. You have Jennifer Granholm to thank for that. Also, Michigan has one of the most regressive business tax codes in the country. This hinders companies' bottom lines, causes them to not be able to hire as many workers, and keeps some businesses from locating there.

I live in detroit , MI....and the only way to get a good paying job in detroit is to be related to the mayor or be one of his body guards, and the only places that I know that are hiring is mcdonalds or any other fast food places

Most fast food places are always hiring they have a high turn over of workers. Now if you really want a job you can get want, but if you want the perfect job you may be out of luck.

Detroit is a synonym for hell. Look low for now and work your way up. Also, look for jobs working for the city...gov't jobs pay well. Cosco is a good workplace too believe it or not. They pay as well as your average factory union job (16+/hour).
