I don't have time to research everything and can not remember why those two countries do not get along. Anybody got the short version of the answer?

1) india was hurt coz pakistan split... so they split bangladesh from pakistan
2) pakistan thought.. how do we avenge.. so now they wanna claim kashmir - india's not willing to give it up
so the fight goes ON and On and ON

its because of a region called Kashmir...
Kashmir is a region largely Muslim populated region and they want independence and be annexed to Pakistan.
So The Muslim of Kashmir asked Pakistan for help .
India and Pakistan had been fighting for this region for years...and after the last Kashmir war India captured three- quarter of the region(the most fertile part)..
Even today,the conflict is not solved cuz Pakistan still claims the region....it cannot invade Indian Kashmir cuz this would attract new economic sanctions but instead I THINK that it funds terror organisation(along with Iran) to create distability in India( eg the attack on Mumbai)

I think its the matter of Kashmir ( the northernmost indian state).
After the independence the king of Kashmir made kashmir an indian state. But Pakistan says that kashmir is the part of pakistan.

They enjoy rattling sabres. Nothing really ever happens. Oh, and one is full of muslims, so that's probably the main reason.

.... well it is somewhat sibling problem.... both got freedom on same ground from british and had their heart burn on partision..
.... loosing dear one and getting no where...
