I did and now I'm not so happy I did. We spoke on the phone after I was away for about 6 weeks and she was saying how hot she was and couldn't wait to see me. Well I flew about 2000mi to she her and when I went to her door she said she was glad to see me but she didn't want to see me anymore. Of course I said, WTF? Why didn't you just say that on the phone to me and save me the airfare. I left and proceeded to get drunk and after about 8-10 beers I went back to her house and relieved myself in the gas tank of her car. I thought at the time that would make us about even.

I have learned that, often enough, you can just step back and the person will hang himself or herself. Especially in the employment context. Every year or two my company hires some hotshot who fools them into thinking he's great, and then he begins to act "sleazy" behind their backs. I could complain - but the more I do, the worse it makes ME look. But if I just keep quiet, eventually they all find out on their own and come complaining to ME! And the ground opens up, and the sleazeball is gone - swallowed up! THAT is real satisfaction!!!

Not quite on topic, but I wanted to answer another one of your questions. You ask so many good ones, really! You richly deserve your Level 6 status. I may "retire" if I ever make 5! :)

I've certainly considered it on several occasions, but always wisdom prevailed. Still, nothing like a nice fantasy of giving someone their just desserts, eh?

Once, a girlfriend got a special present from a former BF she'd ditched -- dogs**t, nicely wrapped, with a card saying thanks for the memories. She and I just laughed about it.

I've never needed to resort to revenge. I'm a firm believer in karma after seeing several detestable people I have worked with get their just deserts. All people have done is give them a little rope to hang themselves with.

what goes round comes around.

I wrote my teacher a hate letter and gave it to her...it was supposed to be an apology letter, but it had mean-spirited undertones. Lets just say I wasn't allowed back in that class for a while...

Can't say that I have. My dirty socks? Isn't that against the Genva Convention?

I have threatened, with lawsuits, mortgage forclosures, private detectives, and pictures that prove the crime, be it, of passion, romance, cheating, or even lying
