You're going to have to work up the courage and ask this person.
But it depends on what you want her to join you for. If it's to eat out in some cafe somewhere, all well and good.
If you're thinking of something more intimate, even like a holiday, you're going to need all the diplomacy you can muster.
And be prepared for her to say "no".
