Hi, i just got my A levels results this morning from the Latymer school in Edmonton, London.

4 passes at

A in Maths
A in Physics
A in French Language
E in Further Maths

I'm a bit worried about my E grade in Further Maths, does that cancel my chances for engineering course in Uni?

3A's, you have no problem getting in uni
I would not worry about the E in further maths, as not many people even do further maths anyway. Only oxford or cambridge, would be picky over that.

I 'only' got AAB six years ago and i got my first choice

It looks like most university requirements are 21 units (each 'A' level is worth 6 units) other qualifications are also worth points, the grade requirements depend on the university and the course you wish to study. It looks as if you have 24 points so you should get in. Find the course you want to do and check that university's requirements online. Good luck.

You'll get in no problems.

My brother got onto a HND Construction Course a few years ago with a B, 2 D's and ungraded (in Physics).

Each university is different, but if you are that worried about the E, then you should take the class over and try to get your G.P.A up. But overall your grades are pretty impressive besides that E.

No. You'll just have to work harder - 'A' level maths is quite simplistic. Further actually has something to it - do more work next time!
