They say,
the best revenge is to live well,
offensive people can not hurt you, unless you give them the power over you.
When you are offended, and carry this around, it only hurts you, and affects what ever you are doing and it does not hurt the "jerks " at all,
I know it is easy to say, they are not worth it,
don't let it get to you, etc, but the truth is if you are offended, then they have touched on a sensitive area inside you, or you are really dealing with unresolved issues, that this may, irritate.
take away the power they think they have, or maybe they are ignorant and do not know they are offensive.
try to avoid them,
Or confront them once and for all and let them know that
they do offend you, and offer them the opportunity to back off,
OR?
(i do not know the OR)
draw from your inner self, the wisdom, and peace you need, and only concentrate on what you "want" NOT WHAT YOU DON'T WANT,
Remember, they probably have no clue that they can affect you, so do not let lthem live "rent free" IN YOUR HEAD,
good luck,

Just smile as if you know something that they don't and walk away. Some people think that if they talk REEAAALLL LOUD or if they can recite their entire repertoire of foul words it means they're right on any given point. Offensive people either want others to be impressed in some way or they think they can manipulate people with shock factor. I don't waste my time on people like that.

All the time. Smile, nod, and ignore. Any reaction to these types of people just encourages.

You'll hardly find anybody who have not.
My strategy is to measure my own strength and weakness, then decide how to react or handle the situation.
If I appear stronger, face it boldly and if weaker, leave it intelligently.

Every day. (I live in New York City.) My strategy varies according to the situation: ignore them, smile, frown, talk to them calmly....

IF THEY ARE OFFENSIVE, I DONT LOWER MYSELF TO THEIR LEVEL. THEY JUST LETS THEM THINK THEY WON SOMETHING, BY HAVING THE POWER TO UPSET YOU.
