Coprophagy is officially defined as "the feeding or eating of dung or excrement that is normal behavior among many insects, birds, and other animals." This behavior was first recognized in 1882 in rabbits, and occurs in many animals including mice, guinea pigs, beavers, dogs, foals, pigs, non-human primates, and rats. This process provides the animal some essential nutrients that it cannot obtain from the initial passage of food through the digestive tract. One may not give much thought to the lazy chewing of the cud that we observe cows doing all the time, but this behavior is analogous to coprophagy. The only difference between cud chewing and coprophagy is the point in the digestive tract at which nutrients are expelled and then placed back into the mouth.

Rabbits eat their own poo....or some of it anyway. Aparently its to help them get more nutrition in their diet. They have hard poo and soft poo....they eat the soft ones....unfortunately they seem to produce a lot more of the hard poo....lol

guinea pigs - they produce two different types of poo - one full of well poo and the other full of nutrients which they eat - so do rabbits - dogs are known to eat their own poo.

Rabbits do.... especially when they feed their young they will leave a few droppings. Dogs will eat their own poop if they are starving. Yes it's sad... or if they are tasting it for some reason.
