Because when I was a little kid (1990s) I felt better not knowing about wars, killings and so on...
My whole life was just friends, going out, school and having fun!

And a sub-question: DO CHILDREN KNOW BETTER HOW TO LIVE? OR JUST NATURE (AND THEIR PARENTS) MAKE THEM DISTANT FROM ALL THE MEDIA RUBBISH?

I THINK MY PEERS HAVE FAULT, TOO. BECAUSE WE ARE TEENS, AND MOST TEENS TRY TO BE VERY INFORMED ABOUT ALL KINDS OF STUFF, WHICH SOME OF US LATER REGRET!

If knowing about wars etc. is good, than why children are not being forced to know about wars when they're in the kindergarten?

And, another think -0- why most teens copy celebreties while most children don't know and don't give a **** about them?!~
Why children become stupid as teens? I think both children and adults are a lot smarter than us teens. Sorry!

Make a decision to see the world as a beautiful peacefull place.
Avoid the mainstream media like the plague, it's sole function is to grab your attention so it can sell product! the best way to grab your attention is to warn you af danger and try to scare you, then in your frightened state, sell you things. It is using your amygdala (your primitive reptile brain) in your brainstem against you.
Anyway, if they can scare you and make you believe you are constantly in danger, you are more likely to take notice of the media more. then you can be sold more stuff! So you are bombarded with wars and crime and violence all day everyday.
The real truth of the matter is that there are 6.4 billion people on this planet. Well over 6 billion of those are NOT at war, are NOT killing people, are not attacking people and are living in peace.
Look out of your window. Do you see violence, death, destruction, war? Neither do I.
Are you, personally, at war? me neither!
The chances of being killed by terrorists are about 6 times less than the chances of you being killed by falling out of bed!
You ARE safe, you ARE living in a peaceful world. ENJOY it. You have NOTHING to fear, but fear itself.

You just have to admit the world isn't perfect. I mean, you are having a good time while people in Lebanon are suffering??? And you ignore it?? That doesn't sound right. You just have to accept the facts of life and live with them. If you want you can donate or something (I can't give you a list of organizations, sorry). Just see the world as it is, and live with it. And, always have the HOPE that everything will be well again.
And don't worry, there are good sides of this world too! Besides, at least the whole world isn't burning... And about the media, don't avoid it that much, there are some things you need to know.

avoid the media (including internet). Stay in a beautiful garden all the time you want to.
