below is maps of both bibical babylon and yes there is a modern babylon.. it's in NY by long island...

There isn't a modern city with the name Babylon. It only exists as a archeological site near the present day city of Baghdad, Iraq.

The ruins of Babylon are on the East bank of the Euphrates, a few miles South of Baghdad, close to an Iraqi city called Al Hillah.
It was one of the greatest cities of the ancient world, it reached it's zenith during the reign of Nebuchadnezzar II, and it is the place where Alexander The Great died in 323 B.C.(it also was the capital of Alexander's empire)

Try searching it on a satellite map, the ruins can be easily seen from above.

Babylon is in Iraq and the main excavation site is on he east bank of the Euphrates.

There is no modern city with that name, as far as I know, but ancient Babylon was located in Mesopotamia, somewhere near the town Al-Hillah in present day Iraq.

it is in modern day iraq!!!near baghdad itself......several of it's grand gateways were taken to germany by their archaeologists!!!!the gates of ishtar!!blue tile and griffins and lions!!
