Some people take Yahoo Q&A too seriously!Why?

Its just for fun,isn¸t it?I mean if you have a real problem you have your friend to talk to,or family.,not a bunch of strangers.

some people really have serious questions. but the most the people have no life outside their computer so they take everything they read on here seriously.

Based on what Yahoo claims about Answers I think they would like to provide decent, serious answers to the people who ask the serious questions. Look at some of the questions - someone asked about tips for dealing with mourning the loss of a loved one, someone asked about tips for stopping her little boy from stealing money from her. etc. A lot of the questions are really serious - and then again, many are just for fun.

When I run into a fun one I answer it with my version of a fun answer. When I run into the serious ones I try to think up the best serious answer I can because I figure if someone has asked such a serious question on here what they're looking for is a collection of serious answers from people. I assume they may just put their question on here to kind of get a reading for what people say about the problem they ask about.

I ran into Answers by accident and decided to answer some questions because I had nothing better to do and because it was kind of challenging to try to think up whether I could come up with a really good answer that may either be helpful or make someone feel better in some way. Another thing is, as someone who's done some writing in the past, I've found that answering the questions as well as I can is kind of a good exercise to get back into writing-on-demand about any subject.

So - serious questions get serious answers (and if a person has, for whatever reason, put a serious question on here he or she deserves a decent, best-effort answer). Silly questions - silly answers. It all seems ok enough to me.

I don't necessarily take Answers so seriously. What I take seriously, though, are the people who feel the need to put a serious question on here to get some feedback. If they put a serious question on here they deserve the respect of a decent and earnest answer or else none at all.

Believe it or not, not everyone has friends or family, and at times, there may be things that arise that you just can't or prefer not to discuss with them. Serious questions deserve serious replies. Also, when discussing things with strangers, the anonymity affords the opportunity to be candid and objective; friends/family most times tell you what they feel you you need to hear. A total stranger will tell you the truth.

Some people are verey serious about their questions and that should be okay and respected. It canbe for fun too but some of these questions can bve very serious. Besides where else can you get such a wide variety of answers.

Yes. With less than a minute to think for an answer, I believe people simply answer yahoo questions spontaneously and therefore their answers reflect their true being and identity.

Sadly, with some, they have nobody else to talk to. No family that cares and no true friends. Sometimes the internet is all they have.

i guess some people take it 2 seriuosly because they want to connect with someone they don't even know....because i guess it is fun to compare answers with others...it's fun to see different people's answers...some answers maybe mean and some sincere.....
