Yes. The cheapest easiest way is a WINTV express TV card. Im not sure of the RRP as I got mine on ebay but I know they are cheap. Its a PCI card which means youll have to connect the output on your camcorder to the slot on the back of your PC Then there is an option to 'auto-record' on WINTV, and simply push play on the camcorder. The audio is recorded through your PCs normal soundcard.
Have fun!

once you've a HDD camcorder, then that camcorder likely has an A/V enter jack. if it really is the case, then optimistically your computing gadget has a video card with an S-video or RCA video output jack...seem on the back of your computing gadget the position you connect the exhibit screen cable. in case your computing gadget does have a video out jack, then only connect the camcorder to the computing gadget - positioned the camcorder right into a/V enter mode and record your computing gadget exhibit screen.

There are several ways to conect an analog camcorder to a PC

1. maybe ur video card has TV tuner ( analog input like composite or S-video ) then u can conect ur camera straight to ur video card ( on AGP or PCI Express slots )

2. buying a TV-tuner, you can find low price tv tuners nowadays
I suggest about 50 $ ( on PCI slots )

3. buying a Capture card ( like Snazzio / Pinnacle ) ,they are a little more expensive, But better quality. ( on PCI slots )

but none of these ways have a magnificent quality it's better buying a digital camcorder ( mini DV ) for the best.

Yes you may need a Firewire connection. If you haven't got one you can get a Firewire card at Tandy's for under $50. Good luck!
