Anyone who has seen photos of soldiers confronted with dead or wounded buddies in wartime knows that men cry.
Any woman who has been with a man when a member of his family is ill or in danger knows that men cry.
Its ok to cry. Releasing sadness is better than having it turn to bitterness or anger. When you're with someone you love, or all alone, or after a traumatic event is over and there's nothing you can do, the best thing you can do is to cry.
What's NOT ok is crying or getting emotional to avoid dealing witha problem. You don't see soldiers sitting on a battlefield and crying rather than defend their unit. You don't see good sons and husbands crying rather than rescuing their children from a burning building, or tending to their sick parents.
Address the problem. Do what you have to do. THEN, when you've done all you can do, release and don't hold back.

If the problem's big enough, you should cry, man! I've seen my father cry, and two of my good male friends, and it just helps heal the problem. Tears are healing, so why keep the pain inside? It takes courage to cry, because it shows vulnerability. So I would have thought that males would cry more than females, though that's not the normal train of thought LOL crying over little things is silly, for both males and females, but for big things, it's okay

Hi.
I think that it's quite natural for a guy to cry. They have got feelings afterall. My bf do cry for me whenever we fight and i tell him that everything is just over between us. Whenever he does so, this make me realise how much he really loves me. It's better to cry than to keep the pain inside as it then hurts more and more. But it's also not good to cry over petty matters. In such situations, a solution must rather be found. But anyway it all depends on the situation. Sometimes you just cry even without wanting to do so. This usually happens in situations where someone hurts you badly. Hope this answers your question.

yes, because it shows that you have a sensitive side, i mean it's great to think of yourselves as the stronger sex but show some emotion once in awhile, it's not good to keep all that frustration built up inside. Be tough but also remember it's okay to cry for certain things.

Im not into cry-baby girls or guys. I dont like it when anyone is over-emotional. I can appreciate the fact that a man isnt afraid to cry though. It is never healthy to keep your emotions bottled up inside. They tend to fester deep inside us, and soon will explode. Go with your emotions, but dont be a drama queen.

No matter what someone tells you, you have those tear ducts for the sake of tears. It IS alright to use them. Crying is an outlet. Besides I'd rather that you cry than punch a hole in the wall.

Just because you're a man, doesn't mean you're entitled to a "no crying" poilicy. Just let yourself out. You'll see, it's a very refreshing experience once you let it all out. And just a personal advice, it's better when you're with someone who understands you and cares for you a lot, specifically a girlfriend or your best girl bud, it helps relieve the pain. They're good listeners and can give advice pretty well.

Men are strong but also human.
Many things can make us profoundly sad and we can feel grief and depression too. Even joy can bring tears too!
The natural method of relief is to cry. Sadly, while its nature's aid back to emotional health it not culturally acceptable in many places. So many men suffer mental illness (particularly depression), mostly because the practise of emotional freedom is lacking.
Strength is not just about being 'men of iron'. Its about control and control is about letting feelings out as much as keeping them in.
I believe we should cry when we need to...

No I say let it out, the more emotion u hold back the more likely u will do something even more dangerous to yourself or someone else. So cry if u have to, I'd just pass u the tissues.

it depends. if you cry about failure then no. you should be active in solving the problems and make sure you learn from your mistake. if you cry cuz you have done someone wrong then yes cuz it means you still have a soul. if you cry cuz your gf leaves you, then is a yes or no cuz it depends how much you love her. and whether it is the right thing that happens.
