Yes it is. Though if the loose bowels go on too long you may want to get it checked out as they are only 9 months. Also a good nappy cream such as melantium worked a treat on mine when they were. It is a barrier for their wee bums as well as helping to clear it up.

Its perfectly normal! Best way to get rid of nappy rash is to leave the nappy off for a while - let the air to it - possibly messy but worth it. If the loose bowels go on too long (more than about a weekend), ask at the chemist or go to the baby clinic, but so long as the baby is eating and otherwise is well, don't worry. Teething pain? bonjela and calpol - neurophen can be used in between doses too. I'm a Mummy to two children, so I know!

Yes, it's very common. The nappy rash is caused by an increase of ammonia in the urine. This in turn is caused by the fact that there's less urine, as more liquid is being lost through the bowel. Don't know why teething should cause it, but my 4 children all suffered in the same way as babies. Give plenty of cool, boiled water and use a barrier cream on her bottom. If the looseness persists to the extent that you're really worried, then seek medical advice.

Yes it's 100% normal do keep a close eye, one or two loose bowel movements is not that bad, but make sure it doesn't turn to diaree, diaree is very dangerous to a baby. Nappy rash will occur, apply a good nappy rash cream, because if not taken care of it can become very painful

Ya and the rash is from the fever. My daughter had six baby teeth break at the same time, she was my first and boy I was scared...she was RED...had a fever over 101 and was vomiting, had the big "D" and couldn't keep any food down, thought she was dying...then they said she had all those teeth coming in all at once, that is why. My youngest daughter got a fever about Kindgergartner age, was all the same symtoms, but it was Scarlet Fever...she was very sick. Must know when to panic and when to just treat common illiness. Comes with experience...only it has to happen to your kid for the experience to make sence. After the first kid you kind of looosen your grip on what is real serious and what is just a rash. Make sure it isn't something serious first, check up never hurt any baby.

Very normal. My daughter never had diaper rash until she started teething and got that acidic diarrhea associated with her teething. It broke my heart because I knew she was in pain. I gave her more bananas around that time for the loose bowels and for the rash I bathed her twice a day or more as well as let her run around naked for about 15-20 minutes so she was completely dry and then lathered her with Desitin or baby nursery gel before I put her in a diaper. Good luck!

You are probably using a teething gel that eases the pain for the poor little thing....... This will/may contain diuretics (make your bowel loose) usually licorice (Bonjela). Kids tend to chew more things too..this helps get the old germs into her tummy that wouldn't help either. The rash is natural... caused by a high level of acid in the urine. Try feeding small amounts of natural yogurt. This will help to lower the acid levels in her lil' tummy.

there is not any medical data that recommend this to be authentic, yet many mums swear that their little ones get nappy rash at the same time as teething, i in my opinion think of my daughter did. around a week earlier her the teeth got here in she replaced into drooling continually, we've been changing her soaked via bib hourly. besides it rather is understood that saliva is complicated to digest and could bring about nappy rash, so i assume for this reason it happens :)

yes. most all babies get flu like symptoms with teeething. just depends on the child which teeth will produce the worst symptoms. they can also run a low grade fever which can be releived with tylonol or motrin (motrin has worked better for me). the also can have some nausea and a rash. for my son his eye teeth were the worst he was sick for almost a week. good luck
