Well, not everyone.
But even you would probably be up your own *** if you were earning a 6 figure salary a year (the average in central London is £1,300 a DAY). While you "are'nt your job or how much money you earn", when you earn that much, you usually have an important job role and since you are earning a hell of a lot more than "avergae Joe", it does instill a sense of superiority with most people. And thats just human nature, whether you see it as a bad thing or not. (Oh, and thank Capitalism).
And yes, while those punks that work in the fashion stores also come across slightly arrogant - they're just covering up how pis5ed of they are - i mean, i would be too if was working a goddamn shop in Central London! How the f*ck do you make ends meet on an asylum seeker wage like that???

I've been to London a few times and personally I don't like it! Even when you get friendly Northerners that go down there they either come back up North or end up being up thier own arses.
The tube is a strange place no one makes any eye contact yet on the metro in Newcastle everyone makes eye contact apart from Southerners that have come up from London!
I have to say though I did get lost in Chelsea and a few people stopped and helped me so they can't all be bad apart from a couple of snotty weirdos!

I dont think so, especially as i am in London and from London. Though different areas have different attitudes. And yes i do think those of us from London have a big city style attitude, but that is to be expected in a big city. Though would be nice to not drive so madly, but if you dont you get chewed up and spat out!

I've been to London a couple of times and found 9 out of 10 of them were foreigners, so I would personally say the "real" people of London are not up themselves but the arrogant foreigners who reside there and taking it over ARE up themselves.

I have relatives from London and they are all up their own arses but then they think us (their relatives) up north are just free loaders, which we are not, thats just the perception of the north/south divide.

yea totaly my friend i couldnt have put it better myself... all londoners think that the whole of great britain is LONDON and that nothing excists outside it.. it totaly pisses me off they need to get their heads out of their arses
