Is there any way that the church could become relevant in your life?

I go to church and love it! We do lots of outreach work in the community, put on stuff for nothing like fun days, BBQ's etc. People need to be met where they're at, thats the only way it will be relevant. Churches need to find out what sort of people are in their localilty and then try to meet some of their needs. There's no point in preaching the Gospel without the actions to back it up.

When I grew up I went to church every Sunday with my family Some time holiday's too .. I have moved away now and I don't go anymore.. The churches where I am at now aren't a place I enjoy.. I enjoyed my old church cause when the preacher got up to talk he did just that he talked.. He didn't read what was written in the bible or any other book he said things they way they really are.. he admitted he did things wrong too and instead of using the thee's and thou's in the book he used word's like do's and don't's .. he explain things they way they needed to be told.. he made it fun and made you want to ask questions and talk . if all church's was like that I would go back.. I still believe in what I believe I just don't go and give someone else my money and not understand what there talking about

There are so many types of churches/sects that I am losing count of it! Also large (1000?) congregations at some as well. Some going commercial. Some wanting and desiring to convert the entire earth, specially the 3rd world poor countries to chrisitianity. some offering help for the needy while some hoping to get money off these needy!
While some are honest.
Ppl are getting so confused. And exploited at times.
Plus science itself is explaining most of the 'wow' things mentioned in the bible.

I don't see how a church would be relevant anymore. As long as you know you are doing good, fear god...christians n catholics would be fine.

Is the "church" a new religious sect that I have not heard of? Usually church implies a religious denomination, like "mosque". Is a "mosque" a church?

Is there any way I can persuade you to buy a car that you do not want? Have a look at my 360 profile, you might find a car there that suits your needs.

Hypocrisy. I grew up in a strict household that strongly held religion on a pedestal and I saw way too many things that have made me turn away from the church. I havent turned away from God cause I still believe but I just choose not to attend something where people praise and worship their God and speak highly of their religion but then once away from the church lose all idea of what their beliefs stand for. Its like God said its not about what we do in front of others eyes but what we do behind or in private.

As a youngster I went to church all the time been bought up in a strict catholic back ground as I got older I just did not bother, just because I dont go does not mean I dont believe any more. I cant drive and it is far away and I cant walk or cycle as I have Arthritis, I would go more if I could.

Remove all the past taboos that were imposed on public just to control people like cattle, regret ur untruthful past, and accept, the life in the real teachings of lord,.dont create the circumstances for any one which the lord opposed once.&&& the church will become relevent.......

Its boring and not child friendly, cold and uninviting. It could become relevant, but the way it is now, is almost like a punishment as opposed to a spiritual experience.

A person does not need to go to church to be a christian. Church can be very boring to some people. You can read the bible at home. You can worship whoever you believe is your god at home. Why bother with temple, mosque, church!!!
