there is no sureshot way of finding good friends. no one has mastered the art yet. it takes a lot of time and effort to build a good friendship. just find someone who can see the pain in your eyes when others believe in the smile on your face. i'm sorry if i am wrong but ur question makes me feel like u have been betrayed by a friend. it happens. if ur friends have faults, forgive them and look at the times when they were there for you. everyone makes mistakes. no one is perfect. so if u want a good friend, give someone a chance. if u feel u can do with a new friend, u can always start with me. i am not perfect. but i can always be a good friend.

well, 1st, be yurself. 2nd, find peopel who like u for u. dont care about the style,religion,etc. just find someone cool. if u only go by style,religion,music,etc. u will fail finding good friends.
for example. if u r goth, a satanist or jams death metal music. find friends like u but they dont have to be identical. find people with cool personalities. dont go by appearance. becuase appearance can fool u. u may think becuase that one person has a cool shirt on, which means dont befreind them because u like their shirt. complements r good but get to know about them before u deside they r a friend. this dont matter yur age.
this is for all ages. i just turned 24 and i make friends with anyone any age,style,sex,sexuality,religion,etc. i dont care what u look like for friends or yur race or condiction. remember there is good and bad in all people. and, before i forget, dont care if they have a disability. if a person wants to get ot know, and they maybe blind,retarded or deaf, then give them a chance anyway.noone is perfect. i have a boyfriend who is disabled mentally and i love him to death. he is very sweet. he is a guy i would marry,though, i have no disability. poeple pic on me and him (old and young) becuase he is also partually retarded and they tell me not to be with him. he looks fine and is very sweet. ignorant people really anger me becuase they r so close-minded...

there isn't anything like 'good' friends. friends are good when you like being with them just the way you are and don't have to pretend about stuff and when they don't pull you down and get you into crap like drugs and smokes and vodka. don't ever look at friends in terms of cars or money or clothes and class and things like that. you'll just end up totally confused and insecure and ultimately, friendless.
