This somehow passed me by at the time. But the only important thing is that the little girl is no longer with us - understanding who or why won't bring her back.

They still haven't explained why the ransom note asked for exactly $118,000 dollars... the same amount to the dollar of John Ramsey's bonus. How would a teacher know this? It's kind of an obscure amount for a kidnapper to think up on his own-- it's easier just to ask for $100,000 or $150,000, but $118,000? Seems fishy to me.

It wouldn't be the first time someone confessed to a crime he didn't commit, but I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I think Trey Parker and Matt Stone should issue an apology to the Ramsey family... they were pretty harsh in their condemnation in one episode I recall of South Park. I seem to remember a close-up shot of Mr. and Mrs. Ramsey while the words, "You're G-d damned LIARS!" were repeated several times.

I was wrong too! Unfortunately her mother (Patsey) didn't live to see this day. Hopefully now the rest of the Ramsey family can find peace and closure

That poor little kid.

I feel very sorry for the parents and its tragic that the mother has died.

To be accused of killing your own child when you are already in shock and grieving because your child has been murdered is unforgiveable.

I think the police should apologise. Publicly.

i asked a question on this last night. So many people pointed the finger at the parents they had to move so many times and all they wanted to do was find the real killer/s and grieve for their daughter.

yeah they were VERY wrong of accusing innocent people, especially for THAT long. I think they're just trying to save their own asses from humiliation.

they = the money-grubber media and the glory-seeker detectives

I was half and half, I thought the police handled it incompetently though. They had made their mind up from the beginning and that s very wrong

Spookbaby...
I'm just so tempted to comment on your oppinion.

If you want to kill someone and get away with it, why would you let's say... write your bonus in your ransom note? isn't it like... look at me! look at me! i'm the killer! yep! does not make sense. it's an obvious set-up.
