Okay, I'm not a conspiracy nut, but come on! Critics have been speculating this for years and now, the footage is missing? How can you misplace the footage of one of the most historical events of mankind? I think that technology now would be able to tell wether the footage was real or not, so they "misplced it". Does anyone else find this odd? The story is below:

They faked it because at the time it was a big rivalry between the states and Russia,so USA wanted to be first at something so they faked it.i think.and now with the footage disappearing...seems more and more true

Although my wife's father performed fuel calculations for the original Apollo landing, I'll spare you that speech. Instead, I will encourage you to watch two programs. The first show is called Conspiracy Moon Landing that it currently showing on the National Geographic Channel and it pretty much obliterates all of the popular conspiracy theories.

I would also encourage you to watch a movie called Capricorn One. Made it 1978, it is a fictional story about a fake mission to Mars. Although it is a science fiction story, it is a good example of how utterly impossible it would be to fake a moon landing for any length of time.

12 men walked on the moon from 1969 to 1972 and we have neither the resources nor the technology to pull off that big of a hoax for so long. Hundreds of thousands of people have worked on the space program. It would be far easier to put someone on the moon than to try and fake it and keep it secret for nearly 40 years.

The landings came at a time when our space program was ultra competitive with the former Soviet Union. Remember how big of a deal it was when Sputnik was put into orbit? They had the technology to monitor our moon shots and transmissions. Don't you think they would have called us out if they had evidence that it was all fake?

Perhaps the most definitive proof of our trip to the moon is what we left behind. For the last 35+ years, scientists have been beaming lasers to the moon and measuring the return times. How are they doing this? The beams are reflected back by equipment left on the moon on at 3 different locations.

Case closed.

I bet you believe in Santa and the tooth fairy too...there ain't no missing footage! I saw the first one! I also saw the two boobs who made the first insinuation that it was fake! They were a couple of old coots who had absolutely no technical knowledge of ANYTHING let alone a moon landing! There are plausible explanations for everything that people seem to think is fake! I for one will look up to Neil Armstrong as a very brave man! It would have cost ten times as much to fake it back then as to actually fly the mission! As for you boobs who comment negatively on the flag....the top of the flag had a rod through it to keep it outstretched! The movement of the rod made it appear to wave! Inertia! Just as simple is the fact that stars werent visible because the light from them was simply not enough to effect the negative! Try going out at night and take a pic of the sky! You need special film with a long exposure! STOP BEING IDIOTS!

Administration is, by definition, misorganized and about the faking...look and ask to a SERIOUS scientist : he/she will debunk the "fact" of the conspiracy believers with basic physics.

About the big telescope : in theory, Hubble Space Telescope and the VLT are able to see the left over equipment on the moon but we will never be able to point those at the moon : the light intensity would fry their CCD captors in a fraction of second.

About the flag : it doesn't wave but there is metal wire into the flag to give the impression of waving. During Apollo 12 or 14 (I forgot), the tube holding the wires didn't lock in the open position and the flag didn't "wave"...The Mission Commander hold the flag to show the American colors.

The important is to not accept conspiracy "proof" as they give it...seek, search and study. You will quickly understand that their proofs can mislead you.

Could be, I guess we will never know.

I grew up during the 70's and if you read anything from that period to do with space exploration we should have had a full base on the moon from the early to mid 90's and have landed man on Mars before then

So I can see where the conspiract theories come from, I guess they have been there for along time. As a movie made back then "Capricorn One" is about a faked Mars landing.

An easy way to prove if the Moon Landing happened is to go back and see if it is worth setting up a base there.

I think they did land on the moon. But I also think that some of the photos, etc. that were released may have been retouched, etc. maybe even staged in another place to make everything look better from a publicity stand point.

Some things about it are odd. I'll give you that.

Ya know, the one thing that made it look fake in the first place is that the American flag was waving on the clips. There is no gravity, no wind, no way for the darn flag to wave. Think about it!

I believe that the largest telescope to be made, will be launched next year, which will be able to see the "equipment left" on the Moon if we actually went there.

Before that, supposedly, there is no telescope that can magnify enough.

Lets wait and see.

The moon landing was genuine. I know because I watched on TV. The Revolution, however, will not be televised.

ha ha, yes yes yes.

anyway

1)flags don't float
2)the Russians haven't been still
3) there is a belt of radiation around the earth- a couple of thousand kilometers of the atmosphere (satellite's are withing this area)- that you need 6 foot of lead around your shuttle to get past.
