I don't think its right for them to make a movie at all, out of everyones pain and misery, but they will still go ahead, according to the media, The families of the victims have given permission.

They already made two - "The Hamburg Cell"
(in 2004) and "United 93" this year. Both of these are excellent - sober drama-documentaries, not in the least exploitative, trying to understand what happened. I'm afraid that Oliver Stone will have made a big heroic feel-good America-the-Brave movie - which may be helpful for some people to see but doesn't get us any further forward.

Are you refering to World Trade Center starring Nicholas Cage? If you are, then it's perfectly alright because the movie is tastefully done. If you are sensitive to the issue then the one thing you can do is not watch the film but then you'd be missing out on a great movie that shows courage and the strength of Americans in a time of despair.

I think that as long as the families of the victims agree to it then it's fine. True movies r made all the time and help some people realise what actually goes on in the world.

I also think that some of the profits from the movie should go to relevent charities!

Nothing was right about 9/11.

Movies will be coming out more and more because that's how capitalism works.

They made many movies about the Viet Nam era.

Capitalism and 9/11 are closely linked.

NO, i think films about things like 9/11 should never be made, i think they are intrusive to the families, after all ,havnt we seen all we need to see about these tragadies!! movies were originally meant to be about make belive,, lets leave these terrorist where they belong in our distant memories, and the people that were lost at peace!!

I'm not big on conspiracy theories, but I'll admit I still have my questions as to what really happened. I suppose I'm a bit of a skeptic when it comes to the idea of some guy in his sixties cordinating all that occurred.

Loose Change (Google Video Documentary) also gave me something to consider. Not that I necessarily believe the conspiracy bit, but there are points worthy of questioning.

So before I see a movie recalling the events, I suppose I want clarity on the events themselves.

They already have.... It's called United 93.

It's a docudrama that tells the story of the passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93, Which became the fourth hijacked plane on Sept.11, 2001. God rest their souls.

It's not that soon really.
What's the harm in it?
Movies create awareness, as well as generate cash for the government.
I'm sure delightful Georgey Boy will be only too happy with the revenue to keep the troops there fighting his pointless war...

Yes, I do. I don't believe it shows anything bad about the victims - it just shows it how it was (I assume it is documentary style) I hope it will help people come to terms with it. It should be viewed as a positive thing.
