You'll have to sign up for a new one... and this time fib about where you live until you get the .com... then... "move" by changing your address after you log in the first time.
I wish they'd allow you to change the top level domain, but I figure it's just one more thing they just don't want to have as an option.

you cant your going to have to make another adress, if you live in the uk just scroll down to international yahoo and choose usa, then sign up

You can't just switch. You have to sign up for an email address at mail.yahoo.com. Your new email will end with *****@yahoo.com...not yahoo.co.uk.
I don't think there's a yahoo.us email address.

I think it is not possible by any options.
But U can detete existed ID and again create in yahoo USA mode.
