Make a list of every music site you can find that has unsigned artists. Then slowly create your own page on those sites until you're everywhere. And make sure you always post a link to one of those on everything you do. By posting on here you're doing the right thing, even if it's just one person that says to themselves "Sure I'll check that out". You can perform at local jam nights, check your local papers for bar listings and call all of them. Get business cards made up and pass em out, fliers, stickers etc...

play in competitions.
since a lot of talented and potential young musicians will also play in local competitions, you could become a known musician in the people in your area. [also, fellow competitors will say your name with respect and awe...]
once you reach a certain level in your playing, people will definitely notice a young virtuoso.
after winning the local area competitions, you'll be able to go for the next level--state competitions and then the nationals.
for the big fame, there are the international competitions. for those, the requirements include several advanced concertos and virtuoso violin pieces.

Start a band that can feature you. Find a good singer, a drummer, a guitarist, and a bass. Play at local venues - house parties, coffee shops, bars, etc.
