When Bush#1 ran for presidency in 1988 he stated he had list of candidates for vp and would announce after he was nominated. Funny Quayle was NOT on the list but prior to convention opening Bush announces this guy Quayle to be his vp. Question is who pressure to name Quayle? The right wing members of the GOP. Quayle made fool of himself with out the media. The issue of Murphy Brown/its only TV program Dan.

Nobody is picking on Dan Quayle. He's a moron that opened his mouth and will say the wrong thing at the wrong time. Yeah, he's well read and come from an elitist background.... but that doesn't meant he's intelligent. He's an arrogant cocky guy that people love to see be made an example of. Glad that he's staying low because he's worse than the former FEMA guy who doesn't know that New Orlean was flooded while he's being interview on TV.

Seeing these guys reinforces a personal practice I have adhered to for years. NEVER, under any circumstances, miss a chance to embarass yourself in public. Particularly in front of LOT'S of people.
