The French are the same as all of us , proud of there country love anyone who tries to speak french, same problems as us many have holidays abroad where i have met them and i have always found them very nice , pleasant, intelligent people,

Just the same people you can find anyone else.
Some very stupid, some very nice, some just ok.
People are however not exactly the same from the North to the South, from West to East, in Paris or in the rest of the country (a Parisian is not exactly a French :) )
We're maybe a proud people, proud of our culture, history and society, a bit too much chauvinist particularly in sports, we make many strikes, we have a love relationship with food and wine. That's just the way we are :) Respect us, we'll respect you.

Let me answer you : I live in a country nearby France, and also work with some of them. For me, most of french people are pretentious persons, they think that they are the elected ones, no one is better, and start all their sentences with "Moi, je", which means : Me. I...
In one word, they' re unbearable. You're right, the more I know of them, the more I cordially hate them.
Thanks God they dod not win WCup 2006, or we would be hearing from this during 800000 years again.

Don't ask us here in America, we're not sure if they are our friend, or enemy, very confusing country, very difficult to deal with.
