No I don't agree for public schools, but I do agree with a dress code. - The concept of a school uniform has nothing to do with the style.

I agree with school uniforms because having just a dress code does not help the fact the students still break the code. And I really think the all schools (at least until high school) should initiate uniforms because it lessens the rate of students comparing what type of clothing or brand they wear making some people more rich or poor. If everyone wears the same thing, the problem there lessens, if not, disappears.

Who's Sean John? Some singer?
Uniforms keep the girls from dressing tarty and attracting the wrong kind of "adult" (scum) to look at them.
The poorer kids wear the same as the richer kids, so less bullying occurs.
It's cheaper than a full wardrobe for the kid.
All for it.

I totally agree with school uniforms. I wore one right through school (prep - year 12) and my own children wear them...It makes it easier for parents, it removes the pressure of having to buy expensive clothes (like brand names) so your kids can "keep up" with the others. My children don't seem to mind that they wear a uniform and it doesn't make them loose their sense of self or anything like that...It gives them a sense of belonging to a large community in my opinion.

I don't but they have them here in Egypt. Kids think they are better cuz no one dresses better then the other and they can tell what schools other kids come from. So they are happy with it as for me it might have helped growing up in the states, my mom wasn't in with the fashion at that time. I do remember seeing reports about kids getting shot for their colors or jackets. So its up to each person and their experience.

yes. it shows unity and that each of us in the building is equal and the same. btw, if an alien is chasing one of the student in the building, it migh not be able to differentiate that particular guy with the others since they all ear school uniform! :D
