They come from various people and are all different. As far as I am concerned they are rubbish.

I would like to say that you are narrow minded, but since I don't know you, it would make me narrow minded to say that of you, wouldn't it?
You have every right to express your OPINION of horoscopes.
As a matter of fact, you have every right to say/write anything you want. But when you do so, and it is about something that you don't sound very well studied in, it doesn't tend to make you seem very credible.
As for your actual question, "don't you think it's stupid"? No, I don't think it's stupid. I don't know enough about it to think that is is stupid or not. However, a couple of things I do know, or at least have experienced to be true, is that there are a bunch of frauds out there, wanting to make a fast buck and will take your money and tell you just about anything you seem like you want to hear.
Like, they're pretty safe in saying that you're about to come into a bunch of money, or you are about to meet that someone very special, etc.....
But, there are also people who have genuinely spent a lot of time studying the stars, planets, their movements, and in some ways it is not that different from astronomy, which everyone takes seriously because it is recognized as a science, and more easily proven.
I have had my horoscope done by a lady who I gave my place, date and exact time of birth to and that's all she knew about me. It took her like 3 days to come up with this long "chart" I think it was. But it described me so much that it was scary. Co incidence? I don't know.
Then again, there are those general horoscopes in the newspaper, etc... for each sign. They all tend to have certain things in them that can usually be interpreted in many ways, so that a lot of people will read them and believe them. That, IMO is just a knowledge of manipulation on the part of the staff "astrologist".
But, in general, give everything at least a chance before judging it. (IMHO)

It is a compleate study in itself,in old ages people used it in many walks of life and the results were true and effective
Nowadays there are only a few left who have the compleate knowledge of it.
Just because you dont believe in it or cant understand it,it is wrong to declare it stupid

Everyone has there own opinion on such matters. Some people find confidence in the stars, others don't.
And I think the people who read their horoscope, don't see truth in it, but that they will look out for things to happen, which their horoscope mentioned.
Let them do the things, they think to be alright, and go on with your own life, the way you want.

Actually, I thought the same as you. Then I read where a Japanese scientist tried to disprove astrology through mathematics and ended up proving it instead. Truth is stranger than fiction.

It is amazing to see: when a person truly believe in the horoscopes, they actually start making it happen. For instance, if it says you will feel sad this week, the person who really believe it would eventually set his/her heart to feel sad, and make the prophecy to actually materializes.

Well since its a science and most of the time the things that the horoscope says are true, or are happening i find it to be true.
Sometimes it helps me make decisions that come up through the week.
Its up to your criteria to decide if its stupid.

Bill Nye the science guy says it is mumbo jumbo. I think they are purely entertaining,who doesn't read thier's and most times get a chuckle or an aahhh.

I don't think horoscopes are stupid, just hard to believe, but to each their own. I usually steer clear of horoscopes, myself. Have a good day.
