Well mate, it’s really hard to find the best British goalkeeper of all time, cuz England first of all has always had a good man between the 2 posts, starting with Gordon Banks and Peter Shilton to David Seaman and James, and even now Robinson is a great choice (and these 5 of them are just a drop of water in the ocean) and all of them had\or have different goalkeeper –styles, so you see you can’t just go and say this one is the best British’s, and this one is not… in my opinion they all were “British’s best” that’s why they wore the number one shirt!

Gordon Banks at his best was world class.
Despite everything the papers write we haven't had the best keeper in the world since.
Shilton, Clemence etc. were all very good but not a patch on Gordon.

I know where everyone is coming from with Gordon Banks. His save against Pele etc etc. But I never saw him play so I'd be basing it on that alone. So I'm going to go for Peter Shilton, followed by Nigel Martyn.
