Please help, i just don't know what the styles are anymore. Want to look smart and sexy for work and out of work, but always end up looking frumpy and wearing the same clothes, want to be comfortable and confident at the same time, whats in at the moment?

I am a firm believer in not following trends and being one self. If you are unsure of what something would look good on you, why not invite some friends to go shopping with you and give you their opinion. But ultimately it should be based on what you like .. and how you feel. If the outfit makes you feel amazing, cute, adorable, etc.. then that is what counts.

Have you looked in the shops lately - it's absolutely awful! By the way, why do you want to look sexy for work? That's a bit shallow isn't it?! I love fashion but I'm not a fashion victim. I tend to mix classics with a touch of the current trend. If it's office clothes you want advice for then the pencil skirt is very much in fashion (knee length). You could wear a nice tailored shirt with a wide belt and victoriana style shoes (that kind of footwear is coming into fashion this autumn). The trouble is I'm looking for nice casual clothes at the moment but all the stuff in the shops at the moment is absolute crap! Nothing is at all "sexy" or suitable for evening wear. Everythings, grey, tweed, old maid looking etc, and I love girlie! p.s. i didn't mean to sound nasty with my comment, just honest!

If you're out to date with fashion, pick up a silly magazine next time your at the grocery market. There are so many different things popping out of fashions closets, no one can sit here and tell you what's going to fit YOU. Only you can REALLY know that.

But going with the general style lately, the "classy" look is really making an appreance with celebrities. Classy business outfits, with a few buttons left undone to leave a little sex appeal in with it all. Pin strip pants, white shirts. Out of work, long tank tops are coming in from UK's style. They're nice because they're tight where it counts, but around the stomach area they loosen up and flow nicely with your hips. They go to mid-bum, I'd say. And you can make an adorable outfit out of any color. Another look that I've seen and liked it the layer look. It's just a basic layer of a button up shirt over another shirt, able to see both shirts.. Long sleeve and short sleeve work for it, so it's good for every season.

You have to go with what you really want though. Only you know what'll really make you look your very best.

Good Luck!

It might sound cliche but "accessorise". Adding a stylish belt to a top or a shaul can make an outfit look completely different, while at the same time giving you more class and people will subconciously admire your unique fashion sense. Ignore the high-street window displays.

For the office pencil skirts & tailoured trousers are the best , If you but get very basic colours like black ,cream and brown then you can team them with other colours .Above the knee is not very professional .Three quater length trousers are really nice and there very verastile you can wear them with knee lenghth boots during the winter and sandals in summer .Fitted jackets are really nice ( Zara are one of the best for fitted jackets ) .The colours green and purple are going to be big for the autumn,so get some like accesories like beads and handbags in these colours so you can mix and match .

I don't know where you live. But why not phone up your nearest Department Store and book a personal shopper. A lot of places do not charge for this service and you are not obligated to buy anything.
This person can give you independent advice on suitable clothes and what suits you.

I would highly recommend Banana Republic's new line. If you go to www.bananarepublic.com and then click on work, they have entire outfits selected for you. They are classic, comfortable and sexy! Check it out!
