Motorola V3 RAZR, they are really popular, especially the hot pink one for chiks. Or maybe a Sony Ericcson Z300i. They are really good if all you want is a phone that calls and messages (which is all they should be used for, I reckon).

When I upgraded my phone i researched into it quite a bit, depends on what she wants really, i really liked the pink phones like the rzr, but some sites & reviews gave it bad ratings due to low MP on the camera & memory etc. I wanted a good camera so I can take & store loads of pics of my kids when out & about. I discovered that if you want more 'inside' the phone you kinda have to put the looks last. http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobiles/ was a good site for comparing. My choices of phone about 3months ago were sony ericsson w810i, samsung d800 or d600 (cant remember which) & the nokia phone with a twist section at the bottom (which u can get in pink, but was a little bulky)

Try the new LG chocolate phone. In some countries, they actually make it with real chocolate scent. So that should score you some points.
In terms of looks, it also looks like a girly phone. Its slim, it slides, its black and its glossy. The cursor buttons are also cool as it has no moving parts, just thermal sensors that detect finer movement (much like a 3gen ipod)
It has all the basic functions of a phone: sms, mms, IR, bluetooth, camera, colored screen, etc.
