Tagalog is the main dialect (in Luzon) incorporated in the main language called Filipino. Filipino includes certain words from the other dialects in the Philipines, as well as transformations from Spanish and English, Chinese, Hindi, and Arabic.

Filipino is what we're called (Filipino people) and the adjective for all things Filipino, when you're using English (like "the Japanese" and "Japanese dishes"). And Pilipino (Pinoy) is what we call ourselves or describe Filipino things when we talk in Filipino ("Kaming mga Pilipino," or, "ugaling Pilipino"). Get it?
