Well, there's 2 people with self-esteem issues, and neither of them is you. Obviously this guy is attracted, but afraid of rejection, and your "friend" just couldn't wait to let you know so she could feel better. Don't sweat it, as long as you are comfortable with yourself, what do their opinions matter?

gurl,,come on?! toss it! logically quite okay is better than not okay...right? i would say that every single person in this world has their own taste and opinion,,,and if its not good enough for you let me tell you that the definition of beautiful is pretty universal, so you wont get the same answer from every person. And i think no matter what people say about you, you should be proud and happy with yourself,,,we were born beautiful and will remain beautiful. cuz people are all the same and we will only be judged by what we do...it's true!!
the third answer which i think less probable to happen but could be is that this boy has a thing for you. And he was only trying to get your attention...i know its a weird way, but hey he's a boy remember?

Dear, you have more problems than just being "quite okay" looking. For instance, "bimbotic" is not a word. Neither is "wincy." Learn some grammar, and stop being so full of yourself. In other words, get over it and hit the books!

hey girl, if u feel that u r pretty enough, then dont bother about such comments.
since the guy himself is bad looking , he probably wants everyone else to feel the same way about themselves
so just ignore the fellow
ok...cheer up

Even if you are gorgeous there will always be someone out there who doesn't find you attractive. People's taste varies, so just let it go. If you find yourself attractive and you've had others compliment you, then who cares what one guy who's not even attractive himself thinks.
Remember, true beauty is inner beauty and inner beauty lasts a lifetime. Outer beauty is only temporary and fades as time goes by.

Liar, he's got the hots 4 u. He has probably noticed all the compliments people have been giving u and noticed the new confidence. It's a combo of him playing hard to get and I'm a dumbass so I think I'll convert back to childhood. Please don't sleep w/him. Guys need to know they have to treat women like we are a princess, not that assholes get the girl. **** him!

Why worry about it? You dont want to go around pleasing everybody do you? Maybe he is attracted to a different type or look of girl. Thats acceptable.

Everyone has different tastes, I find redheads the hottest, but many of my mates prefer blondes, and many other's only go for brunettes. It's one lad, thare are millions of other lads out there, and I'll bet more than one of them will think you are stunning!

get over it. people have different tastes. some guys find blondes hot, others find brunettes. just because this one guy says you're "quite okay" looking doesn't mean someone else won't see you as freakin hot.
