Yes, I see that you did ask the same question as me!! Yay! There are a lot of people out there just trying to get their 2 points, so they just tend to put down insults or a weird comment. But I totally agree with you 100%, and thanks for the advise about laughing the ignorant ones off! I will do that! :)

It depends on the question. From reading through some of the questions here, some are obviously doing this for fun or else just have no clue. I personally enjoy answering reasonable questions where the person is sincerely seeking an answer.

Usually its not an assumption, it is easy to see right away that the person didnt fill in details! I get a chuckle when someone says something like.."how do i bla bla my e mail? " and aint got the brains to tell you what they are using or..." will my computer be able to bla bla?" without giving info on their system! 90 percent of askers aint got brains enough to give proper info! When you call a garage to service your car do you tell them the make and model? These people charge you! at least have the common decency to give people who are helping you for free the needed info!

it makes some people feel smarter, and boosts thier egos.
some people have spent a lot of time and money on education.
they may feel that people who asks too simple of a question are too lazy to do a little reseach on there on.

Part of it is in your question...they assume...and they feel anonymous and can say pretty much anything they want. I wonder how they would fare in life if it were one on one? They couldn't possibly conduct themselves like this the rest of the time...or they wouldn't be here to smart off...'cause we both know...someone, somewhere would never stand for it.

because people are cruel.... they have nothing better to do than insult someone. it makes them feel better about themselves i guess.. and they didn't learn much from there parents.. i don't like to be mean unless i have to. i would rather get along then insult someone.. it would make me feel bad. i have a conscience. and most people don't...
