Yeah, I've seen it happen more than once, and it bothers me that referees are so easily influenced by anyone who just opens his mouth and tattles, everyone remembers Cristiano Ronaldo getting Wayne Rooney red-carded for an accident, and the Barcelona players saying Lehmann should get a red instead of just a yellow in the Champions League final, it's very annoying, and wrong, if the game is to be fair, then the referees shouldn't be easily influenced like that. I saw what Buffon did in the final, and it really upset me because he didn't even know what was going on, but just came out of his goal like a lunatic, waving his arms, pointing to his eyes, and shouting to the referee if he saw Zidane hit Materazzi, it was stupid, to tell you the truth, for someone who was standing by the goalpost and hadn't really a clue what actually occured, to come out and create such a raucous like that, I feel the same way about Cristiano and what he did to Rooney...and what Barca players did to Lehmann, it's a shame!

To Maradona Jr: Lehmann is not overrated!! And he didn't pull Eto'o down, he grabbed his leg, Eto'o then fell. The referee himself said after the match that Lehmann's act should only have been given a yellow card and that it was a mistake to give him a red card!

Yes, but again, the referee was paid (obvious isnt it) the fourth official saw absolutely nothing, he took so long to give that card out...WHY??? because he did not see the event and only gave the red card because buffon ran to him telling him what happened.

Well, with a large, shiny helmet on, and shoulder pads, a 300 pound defensive lineman can intimidate the crap out of anyone except an NFL referee.
