Which information?
If you mean passwords for nuclear weapons, sure. Information like that needs to be kept under wraps.
If you mean the real body count of US soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, no. Lies and criminal acts need to be exposed. A leaked Department of Defense document suggests more than 10,000 US soldiers have been killed and the numbers doctored, and it has been demonstrated that Bush knew directly about the torture of those kidnapped and held at Guantanamo and elsewhere.

Provided the information is classified according to an independent panel of judges, chosen by an in dependant judiciary, drawn from an in dependant bar association, trained at an independent university, where slightly eccentric professors can spout wacky ideas about social justice and how much weed they smoked at Woodstock without getting fired.
Then I have no problem.
Anything else I would prefer they ran by me first, I wouldn't trust a politician to sit the right way on a toilet seat.

Yes in very limited circumstances, but official secrets powers have been abused, and now anything can be hidden away because it's 'in the public interest'. It's not just unfair, it's morally wrong to carry out things in a country's name and deny citizens the knowledge of this, as then you are basically a dictatorship.

Yes, we aren't the only ones with web, tv, etc.. there are certain circumstances (Iraq) where the info should be on a need to know basis. If you aren't involved firsthand then you don't need to know! Ask any soldier who has been there,,,

Yeah, I always hated when they say it's in our interest. F**k it, let us decide what is our interest!
I agree that the police shouldn't reveal the details of an investiagtion when it's still in process, but everything else should be open to public.

I don't trust the current administration to do anything ethically at all. With previous administrations it might have been all right in certain cases but not this one.
