I've won a major lottery in each of thirteen separate African countries, according to my email. You don't get something for nothing, especially on the Internet.

I also have a collection of "I am an African banker and we have an inactive account full of money, and I need help getting this fourteen million dollars out of the country before my bank repossesses it-- your share will be 80%" type of emails.

Not at all. It's a complete scam to get you to pre-pay your own money to "secure" the winnings, then you never hear from them again. DO NOT believe a word they say. Better yet, don't even respond.
