Music and dance are divine concepts adopted by man for joy and development of personality. I cannot agree that in any way helps to increase one's IQ. Music attracts even birds and animals. Many experiments have been made successful in attracting the clouds by some specified musical tunes for the purpose of getting rain. We forget our miseries and sorrows for the time being when we are involved in listening to the music of our choice. Practising music takes ourselves away from mental tension and boredom. Certainly it's not like another time pass like playing cards and any other indoor games. If you have any opportunity and facility to learn music, don't miss the chance. Very few are blessed with this gift. Soon you would become a noted personality. Good luck!

most of the people listen to music just for the sake of relaxing their tired mind after a day's work. But if you give a deeper look into it you are going to find that it is the music which the mind can still bear to take inspite of being totally exhausted. So definitely music has got something more in it than what the mere lyrics might reveal. Some people love to listen to soft music while some love to rock to the very tunes of it.Such tastes differ from person to person and if analysed further draws up to the conclusion that such choices are made by our subconcious mind which has a great contribution in building our personality.if the person is energetic he will love rock music and if he is submissive he will definitely go for soft romantic ones.So music indeed helps in development of relative personality.practicing music helps you to discover a newer self within you.It might not help in improving your intelligence but it definitely helps you to become a better man.
