I think one of the best football movies to date is Remember the Titains because it teaches you how to overcome the race barrier. It is an exceptional movie based on a true story!

I also think The Replacements is a very good football movie because it teaches you about teamwork while still being a comedy.

The best Football movies are:
(in no particular order)

Rudy (a true story - by no means is a corny story)
Remember the Titans
I am Marshall (it is not out yet, but it will defnitely be great)
Varsity Blues
The Replacements
Invincible (it is not out yet either, but you can tell great football movies when you see them, the true story ones make the best movies)
WildCats
Friday Night Lights (I have only seen a little bit of this, but what I saw would definitely put it on my list of great football movies)
Radio

There are a lot of enjoyable football movies but only a few great ones.

If we went before 1980, then we would be able to put together a more comprehensive list of great football movies. Movies such as "Paper Lion", "Brian's Song", "The Longest Yard" (1974), "Knute Rockne - All American", and the list goes on...
