what I,am about to suggest for an answer to your question, might sound a bit strange, or even crazy, but in my humble opinion it is thee only solution to end up the mess in Iraq.
It is a known fact that the Iraqi people are known that they are NOT people of peace, and they always fight among themselves ; Sunnites against Shiites or even Kurds, and the killings or the assassinations between them, even the U.S Marines could not be able to put an end to it.
SADDAM HUSSEIN - in spite of all his disadvantages as a leader - was the only one who managed to control Iraq, and during his ruling, no one would ever think or dream even of committing terrorist acts - because Saddam would blow him to hell !! -
Therefore, instead of U.S. using Saddam's Trial like a SHOW BIS, why don't they use him and install him back into position, UNDER THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS, like that they - the U.S Govt. will have the following advantages :
1- Guarantee ever lasting peace in Iraq.
2- Keep very limited forces there to aid Saddam, and the rest can go back home.
3- The Oil - Fields can still be under U.S supervision ( and that is the Govt. intent from the beginning ).
That is my opinion to end the war in Iraq.

Yeah.. Though I don't consider myself a "liberal" by Neo-Con standards, your statement (as I take it) is rather ignorant and stupid. I would consider it moronic and without thought.

Nothing just Iraq people who can arise against US collation forces.because US WILL NOT get out of there. US wants to show Iraq situation without security to stay there.
