This trade is kinda lopsided because i do have a lot of good pitching. But i don't know if it will help my team. Because have i would have 4 Superstar outfielders. and 4 well above average ones. So i will have a Superstar on my bench. I guess i can start trading OF's away. The trade offer is:Beltran ,Dye & Sizemore
Players you give up:
Jones, Todd RP DET
Weaver, Jered SP ANA
Should I Accept?

This is a 10player league.
I"m 1st in my Division and guaranteed to stay there because the team proposing the trade is 2nd in my division. Overall i'm in 2nd place. This is not a Keepers league and this is my current roster. Padres4ever

A. Pierzynski C
J. Thome 1B
B. Hall 2B
G. Atkins 3B
J. Reyes SS
J. Damon OF
K. Griffey OF
C. Lee OF
P. Konerko U

R. Clemens P
R. Halladay P
T. Hoffman P
M. Mussina P
J. Weaver P

Bench:
Matthews, Gary CF .
Johnson, Josh SP
Lester, Jon SP
Olsen, Scott SP

I have a lot of good pitching but a lot of them are rookies which could be a problem down the stretch or in the playoffs.

Jared Weaver is da bomb!!!

Todd Jones is just a save guy on a saves stat.

Beltran always fade around September and picks up in October. By then, it's meaningless because fantasy season is over while playoffs begin.

Dye is reaching his peak. He's only good for another 5 HRs and 20 RBIs if you think you need that.

Sizemore is a Runs guy. He won't pick up any RBIs, HR, or SB for you.

If there's ever a guy who gets hot on September... you gotta find a way to get David Ortiz or Manny Ramirez. Now those two guys will get the RBIs and Runs in bunches. HRs will be extra bonus from these two. ARod and Pujol is not bad either, but those 4 are almost untouchables.

Weaver is going to get 6 more wins with good ERA and WHIP, so don't give up on him unless someone gives you the Big 4 offensive producers.

You need to ask yourself this, what's better, to have studs on your bench or people who score you points playing? Unless you can trade the surplus of OF's you have post this trade, I wouldn't do it.

Simple question to ask yourself: Is Jones and Weaver giving you Ws, SVs, WHIP and ERA and perhaps a K or two is a better deal than Dye giving you nada because you have a crowded OF?

Use real life as an example, however a different sport. Take a look at what the G heavy NY Knicks have done and you tell me how successful they have been. Hard to win when you have productive players on the bench and holes in other areas.

Advice: Try and see if you can trade one or two of your OF's for something that would upgrade and/or replace your P's you are losing or another weakness on your team first. If that happens, pull the trigger and come out the champ. If you cannot get a deal done, I wouldn't trade starters for benchplayers no matter how much better they are one to one.

howdy Scooter. i have responded this question some circumstances tonight, yet considering its you i am going to do it back.... i'm getting solid at it. It turned right into a extremely smart flow to reveal the deal down. Riccardi is the single painted right into a nook and has to unload expertise for opportunities... so do not take his first provide, make him ought to take a lot less because he's the determined one. The Mets do not particularly have a deep farm equipment besides. The Mets have a large number of injuries and can want to't have the funds for to lose in spite of prsopects they have now to savage in spite of they could type the season. The Mets were taken interior the Madoff scandal and are not destitute yet are not in impressive economic status. The Mets are gonna want to locate themselves some loose brokers to plug some holes they have with getting old gamers like Delgado. The Mets have now set the fee for Halladay less than 4 opportunities... Halladay is going for particular... those weren't impressive opportunities. Riccardi is an entire fool... on the genuine. i'm particularly particular teh red Sox have made an provide over the weekend... it became prolly low ball and Riccardi did not like it... and also you would confirm that he has talked to the Phillies who also low balled him earlier choosing making this provide to the Mets... it type of feels each and every man or woman were given mutually and became on an analogous web page... 4 opportunities for a 32 12 months old pitcher with one and a 1/2 years on his settlement which will fairly be offered via the Yankees in 2011 is too a lot.

you gotta do this deal:

beltran is stud, sizemore is a 5-tool OF, and dye.. well dye's got the quietest 20 hrs in the AL.

todd jones - yeah hes up there in saves, but have yuo checked out his ERA and WHIP? either way, hes getting it done, but i'll tell you it aint pretty
weaver - gotta give up some gold to gain some gold, and weaver is a little bit of gold. he'll continue to have a great season, but here it's well worth the risk.

if anything, you turn around and start dealing OFs for stud IFs or more arms, but theres no way you pass on a chance like this, especially this late in the season.

You would be crazy not to accept it but if I was commish of your league I would veto the trade in a heartbeat. Lopsided trades like that ruin the competitivesness of a league. It's not your fault this guy is willing to do it but he's obviously either being unsportsmanlike or isn't very skilled at fantasy baseball!

btw...I am assuming this is atleast a 10 team league.

Without more context (keeper league? roster makeup? stats?), I'd say you'd have to do that. Beltran should be worth enough in almost any league to fetch you as much as you're giving up. I also don't tend to trust pitchers much, particularly young guys like Weaver. Many of them look great their first time through the league, then people catch onto them.

I'd go for it. With you're "4 superstar outfielders and 4 well above average ones" you can trade a handful for some good pitching.

Yeah man. Beltran might be mvp, dye is hitting HR's like a monster and sizemore gets on base a lot.

if your pitching is deep, take the offer....there's a good chance that the other owners will veto the trade(if applicable). I could give you a better analysis if I saw your complete roster, and what place you were in the standings to date...
