Being a B.Com graduate (and pursuing MBA)and has 10 years of corporate accounting, audit and tax exposure is that really advisable me to do Oracle Financials??.

Grab any Oracle experience that you can. They are *THE* business RDBMS for anything with any size and demand is usually good as far as employment goes. It also looks good on the resume.

SAP Financials may be complicated to learn (based upon your skill ranges) Oracle Financials - possibly much less complicated than SAP. See in case you will get into PeopleSoft Financials which may be rather common than the different 2...

Life is learning process, you are having commercial back ground, Oracle is totaly data base requires for commercial processing, lunch is best if pickle is served, oracle is back end, for implementation front end is very much needed, so you be oracle administrator or for programming lern oracle and go for java, vb or dottnet to complete your cycle, as commercial personality it is difficult to survive in the software market as there is always prefrence to science or engineering graduate. but sky is limit go head future is star bright hopes guts and personality depends.
