All this time a lot of people thought she was the killer. That had to be an awful feeling for her. Some man named John Carr was the murdered. They found him in a prison in Taiwan.

JonBenet's murder was high profile. Many children are murdered and the story barely gets mentioned in the press.

Unless a person has lived through the horrors of the murder of their child and the agony of the trial and justice system, it is difficult to understand the grief, stress and pain of the parents. The self-help organization, Parents of Murdered Children, provides some relief to those parents. POMC members provide emotional support, education, prevention, advocacy, and awareness.

The news media interviews the parents and family members and asks about "closure" after the trial. There is no closure in such a situation. Nothing can bring about the death of a loved one.

What POMC parents try to do in a pro-active way is to lobby for tougher legislation. For truth in sentencing which forces the state to keep a prisoner in prison for at least 75% of his sentence. And for sentencing guidelines which mandate the sentence for murder, rape and child molestation. The parents do this because each time another child is harmed the pain is almost as acute as if it happens to their own child. Those parents attend the fiscal impact meetings and know that it costs about $30,000 per year to keep an individual in prison and that state governments must manage limited resources while providing the populace with a "sense" of security.

It is very difficult to provide security whether it is for children home asleep in their beds or from militant terrorists.

I do not think that it is sad that Patsey Ramsey died before her daughter's murderer was caught. She was spared the agony of the trial and facing the monster that murdered her beautiful daughter.

It is very, very difficult for the parents to dissipate the anger and hatred that they feel. Only spiritual guidance can help.

It may have ruined her public image, but since Ramsey didn't do it and was never convicted, at least she could sleep at night. That's more than can be said for the hundreds if not thousands of innocent people wrongly convicted of crimes and sent to prison (eg. the 1980s "ritual satanic abuse" cases, black men who "whistled at white women" and were lynched).

Also, not to nitpick, the suspected _murderer_ is named John Karr and was arrested in Thailand, not Taiwan.

Our Savior lived a sinless existence. on no account as quickly as did He ever adventure the separation from God the father that we adventure each time that we sin. at the same time as suffering for our sins interior the backyard of Gethsemane and on the pass, he had the help of angels and the comforting presence of His Father. in basic terms earlier He died, God momentarily withdrew from His Son so as that Jesus would desire to end the charge for our sins on my own, and adventure each and every thing that human beings on the earth adventure. The separation from His Father replaced into so agonizing that it replaced into the only time that He cried out, asserting, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Very quickly after, He proclaimed in super triumph and relief, "it rather is finished." Then He left His physique. He replaced into no longer killed via fact He had power over loss of life. He died via fact He knew that His undertaking replaced into executed, His mortal job replaced into finished until eventually the time of His resurrection, which might finished the Atonement.

,yes it is. What is a little bit humorous now, is the fact that the same people that thought she did it now say they never suspected her. What a bunch of hypocrites we have on the news. come on, we all jumped to the same conclusion.

Yes it is especially considering all of the public humiliation and accusations. I would hate that feeling and know it had to tear her apart.

I'm so tired of people thinking Jonbenet's murder is so much more tragic and horrific than all of the other ones that happen every single day just because it got more publicity.
