And yet the Brits uncovered that bomb plot through? ...the usual human intelligence.

Yes. It's wrong. I don't have anything to hide, either, but I do appreciate my privacy and the fact that I live in a country that should be protecting that. Something about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
P.S. As for safety, I figure, sadly, that someone is going to find a way, if that is his/her desire. An example: a talk show host here was discussing airline security and all the steps one goes through now with the recent happenings in London. Yet, on the flight, a fellow passenger was drinking from a water bottle he'd brought on the plane. Oops. There's always a threat - I wish instead of reacting we were preparing to meet and defeat anything that might come our way. Fear mode isn't going to get us anywhere.
P.P.S. You know, when the phone tapping came out, I wrote to my telephone provider to ask them why the government could get a copy of my records (my OWN records) and I could not.

Amen, Nothing to hide, , phone taps are not a problem. Only the Bush bashers see it as a problem because they can't reason logically. Too deep of a concept. Much easier to cry like a baby. But for eight years?? Bull dog mentality.

I agree, rather they tapped phones and my family survive than bury them with their rights in a box! If you have nothing to hide no big deal. As if they have the time to listen to every conversation made on every phone in America. All they are looking for is calls made to numbers that are made to areas that have connections to known terrorist activity. They ***** that the government should have stopped 911 but don't want them to have the tools to do it.

Yes this invasion into my privacy is wrong. I have absolutely nothing to hide but I am not going to live in a world where some creep gets to decide if what I am doing is his business or not! NO WAY!

If the cord faucets have benefical effects with the aid of gaining counsel to assist guard & defend the yank human beings - then there should not be a topic. If usual civilians are being tapped and dropping their civil liberties - then with the aid of all skill it is against the regulation.
