For me it's not really a gender issue, but a quality issue. The View is a piece of crap, just a bunch of non-celebrities (Joy Behar? Hasslebeck?) talking over each other. I can get that at Starbucks.

Here is the sense. ABC will be going HDTV long before ESPN. That means a larger audience in the short run plus added cable sales meaning more dollars for all Disney channels.

No it doesn't.
I think the reason they moved it to ESPN is because almost everybody has cable (which means they have ESPN) and it makes it easier for regular programming. ABC has moved a lot of their sports coverage to ESPN.
