The Flamingo has the best breakfast buffet, I've been to Vegas about 10 times, never really had a great dinner buffet. Avoid Excalibur. Did you ever see the movie Vegas Vacation? This guy in the line for the buffet says "I'll have some of the blue stuff, and a little of the yellow". That pretty much describes dinner at Excalibur. Have fun and good luck.

My family lives in Vegas, so we've had a lot of experience doing "family dinner" at the buffets. I think that the Rio would be your best bet - it's not as convenient as the others because it's located off the strip, but the food is supposed to be higher quality, and the prices are a bit lower than on the strip itself.

Lot of us locals are pretty partial to Sam's town or the Palace Station. But, the Paris Hotel has a GREAAAAAAAT buffet with predominately French cuisine. Magnifique'!

I really enjoyed the Mediteranean food at the Aladdin. It just seemed fresher than most of the buffets. The Sunday brunch at Bally's was expensive but I never miss it when I'm there. All kinds of wonderful and exotic food, lobster, crab, peasant, filet, prime rib, eggs benedict, alligator, caviar, sushi, oh there was much, much more... and decent champagne too.
