Pintos were garbage, all Mustang II's were garbage (as they were based on a Pinto chassis), Fiat Strada, Cadillac Cimmaron and my favorite, the Chevrolet Vega. The Vega had NOTHING going for it -- it was gut wrenching ugly, so slow it couldn't get out of it's own way, every single engine blew a headgasket (or five) before engine completely expired and, worst of all and a total embarassment to GM, the dogs would actually rust sitting on the new car showroom floor. Unless someone has a Vega sealed in a block of clear plastic somewhere the day will soon come when not a single example will exist (thank God).

Hey Jelly Roll,
My Votes have to be split three ways:
Foreign : Yugo
Domestic/Foreign : (Tie) Plymouth Arrow & Cadillac Cimaron (Both were U.S. designed, but made in Japan)
Domestic : (Tie) Dodge Dart and Chevrolet Chevette (It was though, the one time a man could say he owned a "Vette" and not be lying).
Thanks for a Great Question!

I don't think any of the cars mentioned hold a candle to the Trabant. Built to typical Communist levels of quality control, and the body was made of plastic coated cardboard like a milk carton.

Any car made after 1981.
And any car (not all trucks) that sport a F.o.r.d. emblem.
Here's my list of good traits
F.o.r.d. > wiring, starters, any part electrical
Chevy > body (it would be nice for a meaner look like Dodge though),
motor/tranny compatibility
Dodge > motor (literally bulletproof)
