I am 36 weeks preg., but am having a 9lbs. baby. This is my second child, and the doc says I'm 3cm and 50% effaced. I had my daughter at 37 weeks, and the doc isn't going to stop labor. Will I be having my soon within the next week?

Its anyones guess!
With my first son I was 35 weeks and 2 cm and 30% effaced, and it didn't change. I ended up having to be induced a week after my due date.
With this baby I am 37 weeks and haven't ONE sign of labor yet!
You never know!

walk alot from now to then and you'll have it in no time.
I walked for 9 hours stright with my first the next night i had him and my labor lasted a whole 30 min too. (it was the walking i walked at least a mile each day of my preg if not more) (and the staying calm) ( I didnt need drugs or stuff either he just poped out)

If you want to speed up the process.... as long as your water hasn't broke try having a hot bath. It will relax your muscles and maybe it will help relieve some of the pressure.

my advice is to find another doctor because with me, i had a great doctor and 3 days after my due date the made me have the baby. are they looking at the fact that there could be something wrong???

Maybe, I guess.....I don't know, and unless anyone here is a doctor, they won't be able to give you a sure answer either. That's something you need to ask your doctor, not us.

walk a lot, my sister took a table spoon full of astral oil. its nasty but she went in labor a few hours after she took it. her doctor said it would give her a boost and it worked. she took it with 3 of her kids

IF YOU ARE 36 WEKS PREGNANT YOU WILL HAVE YOUR BABY BETWEEN THE 1st AND 2nd WEEK OF SEPT.
