I think they die if they drink anything else other tan blood.

It is said that before a person becomes a vampire, he loses all normal bodily functions eg: heartbeat, eating and drinking habits etc. The only thing they feed on is blood. They even cry blood. A vampire is refered to as the 'undead' so there is no regular digestive system.

Nothing out of sorts would happen. If a human drank blood, it wouldn't mess up any bodily functions, other than making you vomit from the very idea of it. So I think it goes both ways. :)

Nothing should happen unless someone slipped a piece of wood in the food or silver . a blessed wafer or holy water are the only things that would cause one problems . but you would most likely have to force feed them to it.
Look at all the so called poisionious materials we need in our diets to remain healthy. Heavy metals,fat , mercury, lead, and some radioactive materials.
